The House of Dior has got a problem. They can’t continue with John Galliano, after his recently revealed anti-semitic tirade, but they can’t replace him. There are two major reasons for that:
1. Galliano still wasn’t officially fired (the lawyers are working on dissolving his contract)
2. Dior wants to focus on this season and will not let any future plans to overshadow it.
Well, surely there’s some logic to that, but.. it still doesn’t feel right.
The biggest canadian retailer opens the Toronto Fashion Week with style, like true winners do. Holt Renfrew came up with its guns blazing and their biggest guns now are Jeremy Laing and Todd Lynn. Combining their magic with 9 other HR top designers certainly made an impression. The whole show was entertaing and really ecclectic, what represents the uniqueness of canadian fashion nad culture, according to John Gerhardt, Holt’s creative director.
.. and she is already shooting a commercial in Paris with brilliant Mario Testino. She looks strong and self-confident with red lipstick matching the leather biker jacket and pale dress. Those are not the actual shots for the ad, but they work great as a preview:
