LWren Scott partners with Banana Republic for holiday collection

Women’s designer L’Wren Scott is collaborating with retailer Banana Republic to create a unique collection for the holidays.

Ms. Scott, who founded and designed the namesake brand, has dressed some of the most powerful women in the world including Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker, Penelope Cruz, Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Lopez and Sandra Bullock. Her clean designs and fun prints are worn by women of all ages, whether it’s to the Academy Awards, to work or out for drinks.

The collection will span 50 apparel and accessory pieces ranging from sequin party dresses and bejeweled cardigans to tailored jeans, lace dresses and pencil skirts.

Three original prints will be featured prominently throughout the collection: a dramatic lip print in bold hues of red and violet, peonies in red and pink and a candy stripe of black, violet and different shades of red. The prints find their way on scarves, pajamas, blouses, blankets, socks  and jeans.

The Banana Public L’Wren Scott Collection will be featured in the retailer’s December ad campaign, which will appear in print, online, direct mail and in-store. Follow the brands on their Twitter handles @BananaRepublic and @lwrenscott. Are you excited for the new collection? What designers do you hope will collaborate next?
